Breadgivers International

A Journey of Purpose and Philanthropic Discovery

Hosted by Breadgivers International, a Registered 501(c)(3) Public Charity

Experience Africa in a way that changes you.

Engage with purpose. Create lasting impact.

Breadgivers International invites a select group of philanthropic leaders to join a 10 day Donor Discovery Expedition across Kenya, with humanitarian engagement extending into Uganda.

This immersive experience offers personal engagement with local nonprofit leadership and communities, providing firsthand understanding of both need and opportunity. Through meaningful dialogue and on the ground connection, participants gain clarity and confidence to make thoughtful, strategic giving decisions that create lasting generational impact.

This experience is designed to inform the heart, engage the mind, and strengthen the kind of leadership that creates lasting generational impact.

WHY THIS JOURNEY MATTERS

Philanthropy with Purpose

Africa is not simply a destination. It is a place to learn, to listen, and to better understand both need and opportunity.

This Donor Discovery Expedition is thoughtfully designed for individuals and families who desire to experience humanitarian work firsthand, form meaningful relationships with trusted local leaders, and carefully explore giving opportunities that can create lasting, generational impact.

Through Breadgivers International and our vetted partners, including Girls Hope Rescue Mission, participants will engage with initiatives centered on:

  • Rescue and empower children
  • Education and vocational training
  • Clean water access
  • Economic empowerment
  • Sustainable community development

While the journey includes meaningful exploration of Kenya’s extraordinary landscape and culture, its heart is philanthropic discovery. It is an opportunity to gain understanding, offer hope, and thoughtfully consider how resources can strengthen communities across Africa.

The expedition is structured with clarity and integrity. Travel expenses are separate, and participation includes a minimum charitable commitment of $10,000 to Breadgivers International. This approach ensures compliance while maintaining full alignment with our mission.

We invite leaders to step into philanthropy that is informed, relational, and responsibly guided.

THE 10 DAY EXPERIENCE

This journey is intentionally designed to balance cultural exploration, meaningful humanitarian engagement, and thoughtful reflection.

Nairobi

Our time begins with context. Participants meet local nonprofit leaders, visit community initiatives, and gain a broader understanding of the economic and social landscape of East Africa. These early conversations help frame both the opportunities and the challenges facing the region.

Three Days of Immersive Engagement

A dedicated three day experience with Girls Hope Rescue Mission provides a deeper understanding of human need and transformational impact. Participants spend meaningful time listening, learning, and observing the realities faced by vulnerable children and families.

These days are not rushed. They are relational. They provide space for honest dialogue, perspective, and clarity around how thoughtful philanthropy can strengthen lives and communities.

Amboseli

Set against one of Africa’s most remarkable landscapes, this portion of the journey invites reflection on stewardship, conservation, and sustainable development. It offers time to consider the long term balance between preservation and progress.

Maasai Mara

Participants engage with local communities while experiencing one of the world’s most extraordinary natural environments. Conversations focus on cultural heritage, community resilience, and partnership.

Lake Region and Northern Communities

Visits to lakeside and northern communities provide insight into ongoing initiatives focused on access to essential resources, local enterprise, and community stability. These experiences broaden understanding of both need and opportunity across different regions.

Each day blends exploration, humanitarian learning, and guided discussion. The experience is designed to create space for thoughtful questions, informed giving decisions, and meaningful connection.
